Leaf removal: what it involves
Leaf removal clears fallen leaves from lawns, beds, gutters, paths and driveways.

A heavy layer left on grass blocks light and air and can smother turf, and wet leaves mat together and invite disease. Methods include raking, blowing into piles, vacuuming and mulching in place with a mower, which returns finely chopped leaves to the lawn. Leaves from beds are removed gently so that plants and bulbs are not damaged.
Collected leaves are usually composted, bagged or taken to a green waste site, depending on local rules, and some places restrict burning. Timing matters: one pass after most leaves have fallen is often more efficient than several, though evergreens and late shedders need another look. Wet leaves are heavy.
The size of the yard, the number of trees and the amount of leaf cover describe the job, along with notes about gutters and slopes.
